Lesson Information

Tailored for Every Student

Join Lillian for engaging piano lessons customized to meet every young musician's needs, wherever they are.

Beginner Classes

Designed for newcomers, these classes focus on foundational skills and building confidence in playing.

Advanced Training

For experienced players, these sessions enhance technique and prepare for competitions and performances.

Each private lesson is given with the aim of further developing a student's musicality and mastery of their repertoire. To best achieve this, lessons are customized and structured to follow each student's areas of improvement and cultivate their love for the piano. Students are expected to practice regularly after each lesson and are encouraged build upon what they learn in the studio. Thus, the studio provides a goal-setting environment allowing students to follow a steady path of improvement to achieve their short and long term goals.

General
Lesson Information

Parents are responsible for coordinating optimal lesson days/times. A student's musical growth is always the priority when planning lessons!

Lessons should be scheduled on a regular basis, with sufficient practice time between lessons.

Optimum lesson frequencies are weekly or bi-weekly, preferably on the same day each week.

Lessons are offered in any time frame from 30-75 minutes, depending on a student's preference and repertoire. (Students with more pieces and/or a higher difficulty of repertoire are encouraged to take longer lessons. Younger students are offered shorter sessions).

NOTE: A complementary first lesson is offered to all new students. This allows us to get to know you and plan the best way to approach future lessons.

Payments may be given every lesson, every other lesson, or monthly, depending on frequency of lessons and convenience for your family.

For lesson rates, please contact Lillian.

All recitals are complementary (see details below).

  • To allow students to share the music they've learned with families and friends, the studio hosts two semi-annual recitals each year: A Holiday celebration recital, and a Spring recital.

  • Students are prepared for the recitals in their lessons, but are expected to continue their practice at home to reach their maximum potential.

  • Recitals are an excellent way of developing a student's performance skills in front of an audience, as well as to share what they have worked hard on throughout the year.

  • The recitals give students an opportunity to set goals in their practice on what they would like to improve on for the recital.

  • Students are allowed to choose their performance pieces from the repertoire they learn in the lessons, with guidance from the instructor.

  • Any family members are encouraged to attend the recital to celebrate their student's success!
